Inspection admin calculator

What does the office paperwork cost you in inspections?

Inspectors earn when they are on site. Every minute spent scheduling, briefing, writing up and chasing is a minute they are not inspecting. Put in your numbers and see what automatic scheduling, mobile dispatch and one-click reports could return.

How the saving happens

The calculator models four office tasks that disappear or shrink when the work flows end to end.

1 · Set upA client's jobs are set up once: properties, access notes and due dates.
2 · ScheduleJobs are routed and assigned by area and availability automatically.
3 · DispatchThe inspector's phone receives the job, access details and checklist.
4 · Report and trackThe report builds as the visit ends. Remedial actions land in a tracker.

The maths, in full

Formulas
minutes saved per job = Σ ( task minutes × saving % )
office hours saved / mo = minutes saved per job × inspections / 60
admin cost saved / yr = hours saved / mo × cost per hour × 12
hours put to inspecting = hours saved / mo × freed-time share
extra inspections / mo = hours put to inspecting ÷ hours per inspection
extra revenue / yr = extra inspections × revenue per inspection × 12
value recovered / yr = admin cost saved + extra revenue (housing provider: admin cost saved only)
About the default numbers

The defaults are placeholders chosen to be conservative and easy to challenge, not measured results. Replace them with your own timesheet figures. Extra revenue only materialises if there is more work to win or a backlog to clear, so use the freed-time share to be as cautious as you like.
